THE SCIENTIFIC QUESTION BEING STUDIED
WHO CAN TAKE PART IN THE STUDY?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are aged 18 to 65 years;
- Reside in Australia and New Zealand;
- Can understand verbal and written English;
- Have been given a diagnosis of bipolar disorder;
- Provide us with the details of your treating medical practitioner;
- Are not currently experiencing a mood episode.
WHAT DOES THIS STUDY REQUIRE OF PARTICIPANTS?
We will follow these people for a total of 18 months.
- Online screening and baseline interview: 2.5 hours
- Follow-up online and interview assessments: 2 hours X 6 = 12 hours
- Wearing actigraphy for 14 days and light sensor for 7 of those 14 days on three occasions, each 6 months apart.
- Optional semi-structured lived experience interview: 1 hour
WILL PARTICIPANTS BE COMPENSATED?
In recognition of your time and contribution to the project, you will receive reimbursement for each completed component of the study across 18 months involvement. Reimbursements will be received by way of an e-voucher through the Giftpay platform.
